Two people dead, two injured in Highway 16 collision near Langham

A man and a woman are dead after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 16 near Langham.

Warman RCMP, fire and EMS responded Monday around 1:30 a.m. to the scene of the crash, RCMP said in a news release. Following the initial investigation, police say a westbound truck travelling in the eastbound lane struck an eastbound car on Highway 16. The man driving the car and the female passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Another woman in the car was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. The 27-year-old man driving the truck was also taken to hospital with unknown injuries, RCMP said.

The investigation is continuing.
