Estevan police have charged a 23-year-old man and 26-year-old woman with trafficking cocaine.
The pair were charged after police carried out a search arrant at an apartment suite in the northeast part of Estevan on Friday. The woman was arrested at the residence, while the man was arrested at another location.
Police seized cocaine, psilocybin, more than $1,600 in cash and a vehicle. Other items used for the sale and distribution of cocaine were also seized. Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic found in some species of mushrooms.
The man has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of a schedule 3 substance (psilocybin).
The woman has been charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Both appeared before a justice of the peace on May 20 and were released on several conditions. Their next court appearance is scheduled for July 10.
